To help the Agge displaced persons meet their basic and urgent needs due to their precarious plight vis-à-vis provision of insecticide-treated nets, insecticides, malaria drugs, etc;
To make them understand that the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and RAHI Medical Outreach (RAHI) care for them in spite of their situation;
To help extend NDDC milk of human kindness to displaced persons in Agge community;
To promote health education amongst the returnees and other persons in order to prevent an epidemic outbreak of diseases of public health importance like HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted diseases; and
Finally, to showcase the good work NDDC is doing in order to ameliorate the plight of the Niger Deltans.
THE COMMUNITY – AGGE
Agge Community is a fishing community in Ekeremor Local Government Area of Bayelsa State, it is a fishing community and plays host to an Oil facility in the Niger Delta region.
The Community was alleged to have been raided by the operations by the JTF on August 28, 2008.
The RAHI/NDDC emergency relief of operation team visited the community from the 28th – 31st January 2009 to distribute relief materials.
The materials distributed included:-
1. Insecticides treated mosquito net
2. Blankets
3. Buckets and anti-malaria drugs
The Community was very appreciative of the kind gesture of RAHI/NDDC partnership.

ACTIVITIES OF RAHI/NDDC
1,000 insecticides;
1,500 long-acting insecticides treated bed nets (ICONET family size);
Medications (ACTs for 1,000 patients);
500 doses of Dihydroartemisinin/lumefantrine combination;
Sinking of the water borehole in the refugee camp;
500 doses of Dihydroartemisinin/Piperaqunil/trimethoprim combination;
World Health Organization (WHO) oral rehydration therapy sachets for 500 children;
IEC materials; Caps, T-Shirts, Posters;
10 tents for Shelter;
1,000 Plastic; and
1,000 Blankets.
