Moving from Okochiri, Bakassi, Elemtombia, Opuama, Koloma 1 and 2, Beneku, Patani, Bomadi, Egbele Mbutu, Opobo, Ayakoromo, Amapu Ngwa Ukwu, Trofani, Sabagreia, Ajakurama, Akugbene, Ohanze, Oporoza, Kurutie, Okerenkoko, Ndoni, Obingwa, Enugu, Otulu, Aro Amano and other communities that have benefited from RAHI Medical Outreach’s free medical missions in the past, one thing that stands out in all these communities visited is the dire need for intensified health care coverage that will guarantee the safe administration of medical care for men, women, children, aged and vulnerable groups in our society.
However, most medical cases and emergencies encountered, require long term monitoring and evaluation in addition to post-operative interventions that cannot be attended to and the attendant specialized care needed for curative purposes within the time frame of the free medical missions.
Patients who have been referred to RAHI hospitals (Benin City & Port Harcourt) for improved care from various communities, mostly surgical cases that demands intensive care have been treated and discharged as at when due.
RAHI Medical Outreach referral centers (RAHI Hospitals) at 42 Country Home Motel Road, Benin City, Edo State and 1 RAHI Avenue, by Salvation Ministries, Rumuosi, Port Harcourt, Rivers State are have recorded tremendous success in Dental, Ophthalmic and outpatients units with minor and major surgeries such as Hernioraphy, appendectomy, hydrocele, myomectomy, cataract extraction, Pterigion excision, dental and general surgery, performed successfully at the same time.
Health, mental and physiological wellbeing of individuals in a community are necessary for development of any nation, as such government and stakeholders in the health sector have a duty to ensure same.
