The health care needs of inhabitants of Rumuosi and environs in Port Harcourt was the focus at the One- Day Free Medical Outreach on 3rd February 2018, Courtesy of RAHI Hospitals Limited, Port Harcourt
The free Medical Outreach which took place at the Hospital premises, 1 RAHI Avenue, KM 16, East West Road, by Salvation Ministries, Rumuosi, Port Harcourt, Rivers State provided the opportunity for residents of the area and its environs to seek medical care as the RAHI medical team attended to all the patients that came for medical attention.
The Outreach which also featured health talks on oral health, health promotion/wellness as well on health living standards and hygiene is part of RAHI Hospitals’ routine to impact on communities with qualitative and sustainable health care.
Residents who trooped out to the outreach venue were attended to, at the various units of the outreach by qualified medical personnel, covering dental care and surgeries, medical check/diagnosis and treatment, minor surgeries, labouratory tests and eye care and distribution of glasses.
Dental services which included routine tooth extraction and care were prominent at the dental surgery unit. Ophthalmic services for visual acuity were carried out at the unit while reading glasses for visual impairments were also provided. The Pharmacy unit were equally not left out in dispensing of drugs. Most importantly, the outpatients unit afforded the patients the forum to interact with the Doctors on their complaints and health related issues.
The One-Day free Medical aptly brought to focus, the dire need for intensified health care coverage that guarantees safe administration of medical care for men, women, children, aged and vulnerable groups in our society.
