BIU-GBENE, BAYELSA STATE PROJECT II
Activities at the ongoing free medical mission in Biu-gbene and Environs, a public private partnership between RAHI Medical Outreach and the office of the Special Adviser to the President on Niger Delta Affairs has peaked up tremendously with more patients being attended to by the medical team.
The team received a representative from the Presidential Amnesty Programme, Ms Esther Boro who was delighted at the progress of medical care, mobile medical equipment and crew in place as well as professionalism exhibited by the team. She commended the team for maintaining the tempo of health intervention after her visit at the first project at Sabagreia in KOLGA LGA of Bayelsa State.
Responding, Dr Chris Ekiyor maintained that RAHI Medical Outreach as NGO was abreast of the medical challenges of the creeks of Niger Delta hence the initiative to provide free medical care to the people. Inhabitants of Biu-gbene and environs from Trofani, Odi, Kaiama, Aduku, Asabase, Abare, Ewele, Ekpediama and Kanan were attended to, at the various sections of the Outreach. Several Hernioraphy, appendectomy and Dental surgery/Dental prostheses were also carried out.
